Hi there! How’s life?

Sim Life

I first discovered Sims when I was 7 years old. I have fond memories of sitting on the sofa with my sister, watching her play Sims on her MacBook. I’d help her design Sims with eccentric outfits, and I’d build houses, using the motherlode cheats to my hearts content 🙂The-Sims-3-wallpaper-the-sims-3-6549689-1600-900

The first Sims game that I actually got into was Sims 3.  I remember my very first Sim, a muscular redhead, Ethan Star. I moved him into Mosquito Cove – Sunset Valley –  and he became an astronaut. In his final days of a young adult, he married a townie, Monika Morris, and they had 2 children, Simone and Omari. Unfortunately, Monika died in a fire 😦 At that point, I stopped playing their game, and I moved on to other projects. The last thing I remember about Ethan is that he married again and moved to Riverview with Simone, Omari and his pregnant wife.

Ah, those good ol’ days…

But then time comes to move onto bigger and better things. The Sims 4 came out! I’ve always been a fan of the franchise, but this game took it to a whole new level! I’d be following Sims everywhere; Instagram, YouTube, you name it!

No wonder people thought that I was weird, instead of watching films, you’d find me occupying the dining table, drawing sketches for houses that I planned to build!

Writing & Blogging

I’ve always had a passion for creative writing and stories. I’ve entered my stories into numerous competitions, and I’m glad to have been a finalist in one! One of my favourite authors is Jacqueline Wilson. I read all her books in my childhood, and I still re-read them! The thing that I love about her books is that she takes hard-hitting subjects, such as divorce, domestic abuse, death etc. and she portrays them through the perspective of a child. She is one of my idols.

It wasn’t until I got my new laptop, that I decided to create this blog. I have read many blogs dedicated to Sims, and I’m just like: whoa! I saw how many followers that they have, and I felt hat I could never accomplish that. But then I had an epiphany: It didn’t matter if I had 3, 4 or no followers at all, it’s just nice to use this as an outlet!
